T2K: Joey, first off i must say that i think it is awesome the Anthrax original line up is going to tour. I think this is one of the best things to happen to the metal community. Anthrax is one of the top metal bands of all time in my opinion and the reason millions of kids took up music, playing guitar, bass, singing, drums or whatever. I think Anthrax along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer opened to doors for all of todays metal bands. |

So how does it feel to be back and going on tour with the original line up? And is there going to be more us dates? (Anthrax has one of the best live metal shows I have ever seen). |

It's fantastic! Just overwhelming! There a lot of joy in getting back with the guys again. Yes, I think we're going to add a couple of West Coast shows at the end of May and maybe a full tour in the Fall. |

What do you think of new metal as oppesed to 80's early 90's metal? And what are you currently listening to? |

Well, you know, a lot of it is more jammin', like faster stuff. A lot more tuning-down of the guitars, the vocals have changed quite a bit and the writing styles have changed. I've been listening to a fusion/jazz drummer named David Weckel today, but I listen to just about all types of music.........rock, metal, blues............I like a lot of different kinds of music |

What do you think the difference is getting signed today as oppossed to getting signed in the 80's? |

I think it would be a lot harder to get signed today, mainly because of the Internet. A lot of labels aren't giving out the deals like they used to. The trend of music has varied so much it's probably hard to lock onto what is right to sign. But again, I don't really know what the labels are doing because I'm not in contact with a lot of them right now. |

I hear rumors of antrax in ozzfest, any truth? Is there going to be a new Anthrax record? |

No, there's no truth to the Ozzfest rumors. They are just rumors. As to a record, right now there's no talk of anything that far ahead. We're just capturing the moment of being back together again. |

I remember the Clash of The Titans tour in 93 (Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Alice in Chains) . That was a great tour. What would you say is your best tour memory with Anthrax? |

That's hard to say, but the Maiden and Ozzy tours were great, along with that Clash of the Titans. They all have their special moments. |

I'd have to say the first two: "Spreading The Disease" and "Among The Living". |

Is there any advice you could give artist today that are trying to get signed? |

Just give them your best two or three songs. Be as original as possible. Hopefully, you could have some representation, such as a manager
or lawyer. |
